JOB:  Surgical Specialist  / Hospital Specialist

JOB REF: 11572

TERRITORY: Northern England inc North West, Yorkshire, North East

THERAPY AREA: Ophthalmology, Theatre Sales, Surgical Sales

 

ROLE:

  • Working ophthalmology as a Surgical Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for the sales, training, and ongoing support of your product portfolio within NHS & Private Hospitals within your defined geographical area.
  • You will be entrenching yourself within key accounts providing support in theatre during procedures
  • Driving sales to achieve objectives and offering support to customers to increase confidence in using your product portfolio during procedures
  • Establishing long term relationships and being seen as ‘provider of choice’

 

MAIN ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create and maintain an effective strategic account plan for the territory including both new and existing business
  • Working with key accounts to exceed sales objectives to drive sales growth within the territory
  • Establish strong/trusted commercial relationships with HCPs including providing product training and offering support during surgical cases
  • Awareness of the local market access situation and work with internal and external stakeholder to support clinicians/HCPs in securing funding/reimbursement for use of your product portfolio in the hospital setting
  • Participate in Regional/National meetings when required
  • Appropriately escalate clinical/surgical issues, complications, complaints, and adverse events

 

ESSENTIAL ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

  • You must be eligible to work in the UK
  • Possess a Full UK driving licence
  • Have a demonstrable track record of sales success within the pharmaceutical, healthcare or surgical arenas
  • Be educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Ability to work independently and as well as within a strong team environment
  • You must be credible and comfortable in the operating theatre environment and be able to confidently mentor surgeons

 

IDEALLY YOU WILL:

  • You will have experience within selling within the ophthalmology market (pharma/healthcare/surgical) and have existing relationships on territory
  • Experience in the glaucoma setting would be advantageous although not essential
