Regional Account Manager – Compression Therapy & Wound Care

South West England & South Wales | Healthcare Sales | NHS

Job Reference: 11624 | Field Based | Full Time

🩺 Are You a Nurse Ready for Your Next Career Move?

Are you a Registered Nurse β€” or a Nurse whose registration has lapsed β€” with medical sales or commercial healthcare experience?

If you’re looking to combine your clinical knowledge and commercial experience in a role where what you do can have a genuine impact on patients, this could be an opportunity worth exploring.

Our client is a growing and well-established healthcare organisation with a long history of supplying the NHS. Due to continued growth and expansion of its product portfolio, they are looking for a Regional Account Manager / Medical Sales RepresentativeΒ to develop their compression therapy and wound care business across the South West & South Wales territory

This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse who has moved into medical sales, healthcare sales or a commercial role and wants to build on both their clinical and commercial experience.

🌟 Why Could This Role Be Right for You?

Your nursing background gives you something incredibly valuable in healthcare sales β€” first-hand understanding of patients, clinical environments and the challenges faced by healthcare professionals.

You understand the language.

You understand the pressures facing NHS teams.

You understand the importance of effective patient pathways.

And you understand that behind every product and service is a real patient who needs the right care and support.

This role allows you to put that experience to work in a commercial environment.

You could be an ideal candidate if you are:

  • A currently Registered Nurse with commercial or medical sales experience
  • A previously Registered Nurse whose NMC registration has lapsed
  • A nurse who has moved from clinical practice into medical device or healthcare sales
  • A healthcare professional with strong commercial and account management experience
  • Someone who understands the NHS and enjoys building relationships with clinical stakeholders

🩹 Why Compression Therapy & Wound Care?

Compression therapy is an important area of healthcare, particularly in the management of conditions including venous leg ulcers and oedema.

For appropriate patients, compression therapy can support wound healing, management of swelling and improved quality of life.

That creates an opportunity to sell products and services where there is a clear connection between commercial activity and patient outcomes.

For someone with a nursing background, this can be particularly rewarding.

You’re not simply introducing another product to an NHS customer.

You’re using your clinical understanding and commercial skills to help healthcare professionals access solutions that can support better patient care and continuity of care.

🎯 The Role

As Regional Account Manager, you will be responsible for developing the company’s compression therapy and wound care portfolio across the South West England and South Wales territory

You’ll work across primary and secondary care, engaging with nurses, clinicians, community teams, NHS decision-makers and other healthcare stakeholders.

The role combines:

Account Management + Business Development + Clinical Engagement + Education

You’ll build relationships, identify opportunities, develop accounts and support healthcare professionals with the effective use of products and services.

  • Develop and grow NHS accounts across your territory
  • Drive adoption of compression therapy and wound care products and services

  • Deliver product education and training
  • Support healthcare professionals with product implementation
